Scented pillar candles – only one of many options

First, don’t get confused about scented pillar candles and votive scented candles - there are differences.

Pillar candles are genuine freestanding candles, which should be burned in a plate-type holder, whereas votives are really container candles without the container, and must be used in a suitable holder.

The plus side of pillar candles is that they come in so many shapes and sizes - tall, short, fat, thin, tapered, square, round, triangles, pyramids - the list is almost endless....

There are lots of price options, and savings on discount or wholesale pillar candles can be substantial.

You can choose between paraffin wax, beeswax or soy pillar candles, scented or unscented.

The pricing options are equally varied – wholesale pillar candles, discount pillar candles, even those simply described as cheap pillar candles.

Pillars go wonderfully in groups, so buy varying sizes if you can - short, tall, different diameters, etc.

When you group them, remember to keep them a few inches from one another, so that the heat from one candle does not cause its neighbour to start to melt or drip.

The best pillar candles are made of food-grade wax. That doesn't mean you can eat it - just that it is suitable for use with food packaging, etc.
